Bert Wollersheim: Drama after surgery – wife feared for his life!
Bert Wollersheim, the dazzling TV personality and former icon of the red light district, has had dramatic weeks in the clinic. The 73-year-old had originally been hospitalized for a minor procedure to treat a nerve disease, but fate had other plans. After a seemingly harmless procedure, his stay quickly turned into a real nightmare that pushed him to the limits of his life.
“I wouldn't even have cared if I died,” Wollersheim openly admitted while recounting the agonizing days in the intensive care unit – surrounded by cables and catheters and plagued by unimaginable pain. An unexpected pneumonia extended his stay to several weeks as he struggled to breathe properly. His condition continued to deteriorate, culminating in a minor heart attack, which only exacerbated the suffering. His wife Ginger, who also suffered from an intestinal obstruction, was unable to support him during this difficult time and was very worried about his health: “I thought he would die and I would never see him again.”
The fight for recovery
Now, after all these torturous experiences, Bert is in a rehabilitation clinic in Bad Karlshafen, where he is slowly recovering. On Instagram, he tells his fan base that he is “fine, except for my deaf ear and the dizziness.” Despite the adverse circumstances, he shows his unshakable will to live and hope for a full recovery. Bert Wollersheim proves once again: The fight for survival can sometimes be like a real drama from television.
