Christmas sounds: Students inspire with a festive concert!
Bremen, Deutschland - An exciting concert at the Thayatal music school set the right accent in the run -up to Christmas. Daniel Heger opened the evening with the popular Christmas classic "Jingle Bells". This was followed by Niklas Hoffstätter with "On the Wall, on the Lauer", followed by Marie Rabl, who presented the pieces "O fir tree" and "let's be happy and cheerful". Christoph Zeilinger rounded off the evening with the impressive piece of "Smuggler’s Cove" by James Rae and the Christmas carol "Listen to your English" as the nön reported.
Heidegger and the technological challenge
In another lamarized context, the philosopher Martin Heidegger addressed the challenges that the technology made to our society in his famous lectures. The basic questions he raised not only shed light on the post -war technological developments, but also indicate growing awareness among the young people that go beyond the technical skills. These considerations were published in a new work that translates the entire "Bremen and Freiburg Lectures" collection into the English language, as on Academia.edu
Heidegger's lectures leave a lasting impression by questioning the dependence of modern western society of technologies and at the same time opening up space for a new thinking. Such critical considerations are particularly relevant at a time when technology shapes our daily life. The lectures took place in 1949 and are part of a dialogue about the importance of being in the contemporary world.
