Advent calendar in Münchenstein: A celebration of community and creativity!

The contemplative Advent season was heralded in Bad Fischau-Brunn and Münchenstein with festive events and the opening of Advent calendars. The traditional Advent calendar, which has been in place since December 1st, was ceremoniously opened in Bad Fischau-Brunn. The beautification association, together with the children's groups Little Leonardos and the DaVinci School, designed creative windows that offer insights into the wonders of nature, such as NOP reported.

In Münchenstein, the first Advent window will open in the Hofmatt retirement and nursing home on Sunday at 6 p.m. This year, 20 seniors worked on decorating the restaurant's window front with the support of carers. The walk-in Advent calendar is celebrating a comeback after the organization previously stagnated. The Munichstein Leisure Working Group, led by Conrad Knauer, has taken up the tradition and ensures that a new window is opened every day, like this weekly paper reported. A total of 24 windows will be presented, with nine being designed by private families. The new organization enables the community to come together and experience the contemplative Advent season together, with many committed institutions and families taking part.

Particularly noteworthy is the participation of the Münchenstein community, which shows important initiatives for children and families with five windows. The Advent calendar not only offers a beautiful tradition, but also the opportunity to promote encounters and bring neighbors together. After a three-year break, the Sägesser couple from Bruckfeldstrasse will open their window on Tuesday and not only attract many visitors, but also renew old acquaintances.
