Bad Fischau, Österreich - On October 29, 2024, a car was set on fire in Bad Fischau, Wiener Neustadt district, a car by a previously unknown perpetrator. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. when the victim was torn out of sleep by loud bright noises. The immediately alarmed fire brigade could not prevent the vehicle from burning out completely. After extensive investigations, the police were able to identify a 37-year-old Viennese as a suspect. He admitted that he had set fire to the car of his acquaintance with petrol. The victim received an anonymous "apology letter" for the burned -out car two days after the crime. In it, the author pretended to be a single mother and explained that her son had lit the car with a friend. In order to mitigate the caused damage a little, she added 200 euros in cash, which the criminal officers consider as further indication. The 37-year-old is now reported to the Wiener Neustadt public prosecutor's office, as reported by the Kleine Zeitung
