In the early afternoon of January 12, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred in Koppl at the intersection of the Wolfgangsee Bundesstraße (B 158) with the Plainfelder Landesstraße (L 220). A 30-year-old woman from Salzburg collided with the approaching vehicle of a 30-year-old Serbian citizen who transported his wife and her four-year-old son.
