Tragic accidents in Aichhalden: van crashes, man dies!

On Saturday afternoon there was a black ice accident in Aichhalden, Baden-Württemberg. A delivery truck veered off the road on a slippery road, landed in a ditch and crashed into a power pole. Another incident in the same area occurred on Monday afternoon during forestry work, in which a man was seriously injured. The 67-year-old was working with a gripper arm from a work vehicle and was holding a log about ten meters long when he touched a high-voltage line while turning the log. After leaving the cab of his forestry machine, he suffered a fatal electric shock. Despite the arrival of first responders and later rescue workers, nothing more could be done for him. An emergency doctor and a police patrol were on site, but the rescue workers were only able to get to the injured person after the power was switched off NRWZ reported.
