According to report by meinkreis.at The Wiener Neudorf volunteer fire department responded immediately and was alerted to rescue people. Injured in action
The fire department first secured the accident vehicle before the rescue service retrofitted the driver using a special spineboard. This is especially important to avoid possible spinal injuries. “Fortunately, all of the vehicle’s safety devices worked properly,” explained Walter Wistermayer, fire department operations manager. The SUV driver's injuries and the hospital she was taken to are unknown at this time. The truck itself was able to drive on to the next breakdown bay under the supervision of the fire brigade, while the dirt caused by the accident, consisting of vehicle parts and leaked operating resources, was removed by ASFINAG and a specialist company NÖN.at.
A total of 26 members of the Wiener Neudorf volunteer fire department were involved in the operation, which was completed around 7:00 p.m. The emergency fatality ensured that the accident scene quickly returned to safety standards after the roadway was cleaned.
