Moped set on fire in Haan – police are looking for witnesses!

On the night of Saturday, January 4, 2025, a Piaggio moped was set on fire by an unknown man in Haan-Gruiten, on Thunbuschstrasse. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when a witness informed the police.

The perpetrator fled towards Düsselberger Straße, while the fire brigade could no longer help before the moped was completely destroyed. The police have opened an investigation into arson and the criminal investigation department has taken over the further processing of the case. The estimated damage is put at a low four-digit amount.
