A dramatic incident caused a stir in Stade's vocational schools today! At around 12:35 p.m., an alarm was triggered by the fire department and rescue service after an unknown young man was said to have sprayed an irritant in the new building. In a shocking fog, 31 students and teachers were injured! Emergency doctors and six ambulances arrived immediately to treat those affected on site. Nine of them had to be admitted to the Elbe Clinic for further medical care. The Stade fire department and the Bützfleth local fire department were on hand to carry out pollution measurements in the building and to support the rescue service.
Investigations are ongoing!
The police have already initiated an investigation into assault against the previously unknown perpetrator. Witnesses who can say anything about the incident are urged to call 04141-102215. This frightening situation raises questions: What drives someone to use such a dangerous weapon in an educational institution?
Meanwhile, another incident took place in Grünendeich at the weekend. Unknown perpetrators broke into a construction container on “Am Elbdeich” street and stole a variety of tools, including a construction vacuum cleaner and cable drums. The damage caused by this brazen theft is estimated at around 1,000 euros. Here too, information is welcome to the Steinkirchen police station on 04142-898130!
