Regau Fire Department celebrates successes and plans a big anniversary celebration!
January 2025 brought groundbreaking news for the Regau Volunteer Fire Department. The annual general meeting, which took place on January 16th in the Haslinger Inn, brought together not only fire department members, but also prominent guests. Commander ABI Christoph Staudinger gave an impressive annual review that underlined the importance of fire service work in the community.
Impressive usage numbers
In 2024, the Regau fire department recorded a total of 310 missions. Particularly noticeable were the 30 fire operations and the 280 technical operations, which included traffic accidents, pumping work after floods and the removal of wasp nests. Over 50% of these technical operations responded to the need for wasp nests, which illustrates the urgency of such measures. Among the numerous missions, the firefighters saved three people and achieved an impressive operational time of 16,400 hours. In addition to the missions, time was also dedicated to training, events and youth work.
Staudinger particularly drew attention to the need to improve the space situation in the existing fire station and appealed to the politicians present to provide support. In 2025, greater focus will be placed on the fire department's 160th anniversary, the highlight of which will be the district competition on June 28th in the leisure area. The Regau fire department was also able to generate 61,000 euros in own funds through activities and events, such as fireworld.at reported, which illustrates their high-performance organization and commitment.
In addition, Mayor Peter Harringer and section commander Franz Schausberger emphasized the excellent cooperation and commitment of the fire department, which describes the social importance of the institution. In view of this positive development, the Regau Volunteer Fire Department is well prepared for the challenges ahead, while relying on the innovative strength and commitment of its members.
