The Kerschdorf Volunteer Fire Department looks back on an eventful year in 2022. According to reports from klick-kaernten.at and 5min.at, the fire department recorded a total of 17 operations, including four fires and 13 technical operations. A total of 211 hours were spent on rescue and operational measures. In addition, over 2,000 hours of training, exercises and maintenance work were accumulated, which underlines the high level of commitment of the firefighters. Honors and promotions

A particularly celebratory moment was the inauguration and promotion of new members. Klaus Teppan was appointed firefighter, while Johannes Stroj and Pascal Greile were promoted to their new ranks as fire chiefs. Long-standing members were also honored for their commitment: Erich Bader, Martin Retzer, Edmund Smole and Valentin Teppan for 40 years, while Manuel Rautz can look back on 25 years of service.
