The 136th fire department meeting of the Fohnsdorf fire department, which took place on February 10, 2025, was a brilliant evening. Commander Leo Temnitzer and his deputy Armin Engelmaier welcomed numerous guests of honor from politics and representatives of friendly emergency organizations. In a year full of challenges, the fire department was able to look back on 160 operations, including 30 fire operations and 10 fire safety guards. Fortunately, there were no major operations in our own area, but the Florianis were also called upon to deal with major fires in the area. This intensive operational readiness was consolidated through continuous exercises and extensive training. New commander and successes of the fire department

A special highlight of the evening was the introduction to the increasing number of members of the youth fire department, which consists of 13 motivated young firefighters. Temnitzer emphasized the importance of this group for the future of the Fohnsdorf Fire Department, while proudly pointing out the diverse training methods led by a dedicated team. The Florianis also see the year 2024 with the commissioning of a new multi-purpose vehicle that will serve as an exploration tool and support operations management. Leo Temnitzer took over command from Markus Nußbaummüller, whose resignation was an important change after years at the head of the Fohnsdorf fire department.
