On Saturday evening, March 8, 2025, three simultaneous fire incidents occurred in Pratteln, Switzerland, all occurring in one area. Fortunately, no one was injured in the three fires, but they still caused considerable damage. Due to the immediate aftermath of the fire, the police quickly determined that it was deliberate arson. After intensive investigations, three suspicious young people were identified that same evening - a 10-year-old and two 11-year-old boys. Police are alarmed by the increase in arson crimes in the region. Elsewhere, such as in Aachen, arsonists are also causing mischief, where in recent weeks several cars and garbage cans have burst into flames and even windows have shattered due to the heat.
