Sensation in the Main-Tauber district: On Tuesday night, a Mercedes caught fire in Creglingen! At about 1:50 a.m., firefighters woke up when the engine compartment of a 41-year-old's car began to smoke and quickly turned into a full-scale fire. The driver managed to slow the car down the L1005 and bring it to safety just before the flames consumed everything. The fire was so strong that the heat damaged the asphalt! Fortunately, the man only suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital. The state road will remain closed until 4 a.m. while the fire brigade and rescue services are on duty. The property damage? Over 15,000 euros!

Hit and run and burglaries: Crime never takes a break!

On Sunday there was a brazen hit and run in Großrinderfeld! After returning to his neatly parked vehicle, a 40-year-old found his VW with the right side completely destroyed. The culprit? Completely up and away! The damage is estimated at around 5,000 euros. The police are now counting on alert witnesses. Please report to the Tauberbischofsheim police on 09341 810!

But that's not all! In Tauberbischofsheim between Saturday and Monday, unknown persons forcibly gained access to a garden shed and stole garden tools worth around 600 euros. And as if that wasn't enough, burglars broke into a wine shop in Beckstein on Monday morning. They pried open office doors and opened a safe! The value of the loot? Cash in the four-digit range. The police also urgently need information from the public here. Who saw something suspicious? Please report!

And as if the chaos wasn't big enough: In Freudenberg, firefighters had to be called out when a neighbor noticed heavy smoke in a beekeeper's house. Gloves drying on a hot stove had caught fire. Fortunately, only a smoldering fire broke out, which the fire department was able to quickly put out. But what a horror!
