OE24.TV breaks quota records: spectator numbers explode in January!
Austria's news channel OE24.TV shocked the competition with a breathtaking quota record at the beginning of 2025. From January 1 to 9, the broadcaster caused a sensation by increasing his market share in the advertising target group of 12 to 49-year-olds to impressive 2.2 %-a gain of almost 200 percent compared to the previous year. So OE24.tv reaches the highest market share in its history. On January 9, the broadcaster even reported 2.8 % in the same target group, which illustrates the daily increase in the number of spectators. In the first ten days of the new year, more than 1.1 million people already switched on and over 30 programs reached over 100,000 spectators, such as ots.at reported.
The talk duels on "Fellner! Live" particularly cause a sensation, with the duel between Gerald Grosz and Sebastian Bohrn Mena attracted almost 200,000 spectators at the beginning of the week. Another highlight was the duel between Peter Westenthaler and Josef Cap, which despite strong competition from the ski night slalom recorded 162,000 spectators. The overall target group from the age of 12 also shows a record-breaking development with a market share of 2.0 %, which catapults the transmitter into a top position on Austrian television.
The power of the advertising goals
A further analysis of the market shares shows that OE24.TV also benefits greatly with the advertising expenses. The broadcasting rates of the transmitter are on the upper compared to other large networks such as ARD and ZDF. According to the performance data of zdf advertising television , EO24.TV now has strong growth that attracts the interest of the advertisers. The excellent odds are not only of great interest for the station itself, but also for the advertising industry, since the target groups of the 12 to 49 year olds are considered particularly attractive.
