Andrea Bogner-Unden resigned from her mandate as a Green member of the state parliament for the Sigmaringen constituency at the turn of the year. The resignation was due to health reasons after she suffered a herniated disc and a stroke. Your mandate will be taken over by Christoph Höh.
In her farewell speech, which was given during a New Year's reception, Bogner-Unden looked back positively on her political career. She plans to spend more time with her partner, family and friends in retirement. Political Merits and Cooperation
During her term in office, Bogner-Unden campaigned, among other things, for the reactivation of the Ablachtalbahn, for an excellence high school in Bad Saulgau, for the Celtic world of the Heuneburg and against lime mining in the Danube Valley. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of respect, decency and empathy in political cooperation, especially with regard to District Administrator Stefanie Bürkle.
Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann, the keynote speaker at the New Year's reception, spoke about the founding of the Greens in 1979 and emphasized the need to have visions for the future and to negotiate these with citizens and other parties. He stated that the Greens should not be seen as an anti-growth party, but that economic development must be decoupled from resource consumption. Kretschmann praised Bogner-Unden for her pragmatism and her valuable contribution to the green cause.
Christoph Höh, Bogner-Unden's successor, said that he is entering politics as an apprentice and is dependent on the support of a well-connected team of women.
