Intact GP starts the Moto2 season strong with new talent!

The Intact GP team from Memmingen has announced its riders for the 2025 Moto2 World Championship. Senna Agius and Manuel Gonzalez will start. While Agius trains in Australia, Gonzalez prepares in Europe. The team had previously won the team world championship in the smallest class of the motorcycle world championship in 2023.

Collin Veijer, who finished 3rd in the Moto2 World Championship last season, will leave the team and join Ajo on a KTM contract. Manuel Gonzalez is signed as the new top rider after already winning a Moto2 race and finishing 3rd in the championship. Team boss Jürgen Lingg is enthusiastic about Gonzalez's training attitude. To get better training opportunities, Gonzalez moved from Madrid to Valencia. He took part in the “100 km dei Campioni” and took 12th place.

Challenges and goals for 2025

The departure from Husqvarna leads to a realignment of the team for the coming GP season. Despite these challenges, Lingg sees the team in a strong starting position. The Moto2 and Moto3 seasons begin in mid-February with tests in Portimao (February 10th to 13th) and Jerez (February 18th to 20th), like Speedweek reported.

Manuel Gonzalez brings with him a successful racing career that began at the age of 15 in the European Talent Cup. He scored three podiums in his first season in the World SSP300 in 2018 and became the youngest motorcycle road racing world champion in 2019 with three wins and six podiums. In the following years he was among the top riders in various classes and in 2022 he joined the Yamaha Academy Team in Moto2, where he achieved three top-5 finishes.

Senna Agius, who is also new to the team, leads the overall rookies standings by 13 points. He was able to collect points in seven of eleven races, with a best result of fifth place in Barcelona. The team extended Agius' contract to show confidence in his abilities. Intact GP thanks Darryn Binder for his contributions and wishes him all the best for the future as the team's focus lies on the remaining nine races of the season IntactGP reports.
