Zell Rowing Club: Women celebrate the season despite floods and challenges!
The season of the Zell Rowing Club ended with a touch of melancholy! Despite challenging conditions such as incessant rain and flooding that severely affected water sports, members remained tireless. Club boss Norbert Feiden praises the incredible enthusiasm of the women and men who took every opportunity to venture out on the water. It wasn't an easy summer, but the passion for rowing was unbroken!
Particular highlights of the season were the two hiking trips, which gave the members unforgettable experiences. The rowing women enjoyed sociable days at the Turbine Grünau rowing club in Berlin, while the men explored the picturesque Meuse in Belgium. But that wasn't everything! A boat christening after many years brought a breath of fresh air into the club: the new foursome bears the proud name “Else Lehmen”. In addition, the boathouse was brought into shape - the outer wall now shines in new splendor after extensive renovation, thanks to the commitment of gifted club members.
A look back at the challenges
The Zell rowers have had to deal with a lot of adversity this season. Floods and strong currents were constant companions, which significantly restricted training operations. Nevertheless, the club was not discouraged. The solidarity and determination of the members are impressive! The anticipation for next season is already noticeable and the rowers are optimistic about the future. Their passion will continue through the winter as they prepare to return to the water!
