The Café Hummel in Josefstadt celebrated a remarkable anniversary on May 20: it was 90 years old. Since its foundation in 1935, the café has established itself as an integral part of the Viennese coffee house culture. The owner Christina Hummel already leads the traditional café in the third generation after taking it over from her parents, Georg and Elisabeth Hummel in 2005. On the occasion of the anniversary, the guests were spoiled with coffee house classics and musical performances.

The celebration included a vocal contribution by Christina Hummel and was heralded by the pastor Toni Faber with a solemn blessing. The newly designed manual garden of the café offered the perfect framework for the celebrations, which were characterized by the joie de vivre and hospitality of the house.
