A new advance on the coast
During the meeting, Xi emphasized the importance of advancing bilateral cooperation and investing in both countries. The two presidents said they would attend the inauguration ceremony of the new port of Chancay, a project under China's Belt and Road Initiative. This port is intended to act as a new link for trade between China and Latin America, linking the ancient Inca route with the modern maritime Silk Road. A truly historic moment for Peru and its neighbors, paving the way for flourishing prosperity!
Peru will also host the informal APEC Summit on Friday, a major event taking place in this country for the third time in the last eight years - a real thank you to Peru's diplomacy! Xi Jinping assured that China would strongly support Peru in successfully holding the summit. Yesterday's meeting was seen as a major step in the history of Asia-Pacific cooperation, and all eyes were on the Xi and Boluarte duo setting the course for the future!
