On October 18, 2024, an incident occurred in the parking lot of an Aldi store in Kirchberg. A white Opel Corsa was damaged there. The person who caused the accident left the scene without permission. Witnesses who can provide information are asked to contact the police.
A more serious incident occurred at the same time on the B50 federal highway near the Büchenbeuren junction. Here, a driver lost control of his vehicle due to a medical emergency and collided with an oncoming car. All four occupants, including the person who caused the accident, were slightly injured in the accident. After receiving medical care, he was taken to the Hunsrück Clinic in Simmern. The junction was completely closed while the accident was being recorded. This led to another subsequent accident on the B50 when another driver hit a vehicle that was braking.
