On Friday, July 4, 2025, at around 9:35 a.m. there was a tragic truck collision on the A6 motorway near Schwabach, between the Schwabach-Süd and Schwabach-West junctions. A 60-year-old driver of a small truck hit a stationary tractor-trailer, resulting in a massive accident. The driver died at the scene of the accident because the rescue workers were too late in providing any help.
The cab of the small truck was severely deformed in the collision. The emergency services called immediately after the accident, including around 40 firefighters and the technical relief agency, were only able to rescue the driver dead.
