Animal cruelty wanted: PETA is offering a 500 euro reward for information!
Shocking discovery in the Mansfeld-Südharz district! An attentive driver discovered seven mini pigs on the road between Helmsdorf and Gerbstedt last week. These small, approximately three-month-old animals were in acute danger of death and were quickly caught by veterinary office employees and taken to a safe animal shelter. A call for help has been launched: The veterinary office is asking for information about the origin of the animals by calling 03464/5 35 43 00 or by email.
PETA offers a reward
In order to find the animal abuser responsible, PETA is offering a reward of 500 euros for information that leads to the conviction of the perpetrators. The animal rights organization calls on anyone who saw something to contact the police or contact PETA directly on 0711-8605910 - even anonymously. "The 'mini pigs' that were presumably abandoned were in acute danger of death. We would like to help find out who abandoned them," explains Jana Hoger from PETA. “It is irresponsible to simply abandon animals instead of taking them to an animal shelter.”
Abandoning animals is not only cruel, but also forbidden by law! According to Section 3 of the Animal Welfare Act, this can be punished as animal cruelty, which can result in a fine or imprisonment of up to three years. PETA continually advocates for the protection of animals and regularly offers rewards in cases of abuse or abandonment to hold perpetrators accountable.
