Shock on the B13: 19-year-old overturns car!

Drama on the B13 in Eitensheim! Yesterday evening, November 6th, 2024, a spectacular traffic accident occurred that focused on a 19-year-old female driver. At around 4:25 p.m. the young woman was driving her car on the B13 towards Eichstätt when she suddenly lost control of her vehicle.

The cause? Carelessness! Between the Eitensheim-Süd exit and the turnoff to Gaimersheim, she got onto the right shoulder, raced into the ditch and overturned. The car landed on its roof with a loud crash! The driver's door was so badly damaged that it could no longer be opened from the inside. But a brave first responder came to the rescue and opened the door from the outside. Fortunately, the 19-year-old was able to climb out of the wreckage on her own, but suffered minor injuries and was immediately taken to the Eichstätt Clinic in an ambulance.

Major property damage and traffic disruptions

The damage to the vehicle? A total loss of a whopping 6,500 euros! While the accident was being investigated, the B13 had to be partially closed for around 30 minutes, which led to traffic delays. The Eitensheim volunteer fire department took over traffic control and ensured that the situation was quickly brought under control. Further proof of how quickly a normal evening of driving can turn into a dramatic event!
