Snow chaos in the Uckermark: eight accidents on smooth roads!

On January 3, there were eight traffic accidents in the Uckermark, which are due to snowfall and road to road. The East police department in Frankfurt/or reported that two people were slightly injured in these incidents. Special traffic impairments were found on the B 109 near the 'Tanneneck'.

One of the accidents occurred when a woman lost control of her vehicle while driving towards Prenzlau. Her car initially crashed into the guardrail before it got on the opposite lane and collided with another vehicle. The other car also joined the guardrail. Both vehicles suffered serious damage. In order to secure the scene of the accident and recover the damaged vehicles, the fire brigade, emergency services, towing services and police were deployed. Due to the rescue work, the B 109 was fully blocked in both directions for about 90 minutes, as the Weather service gave storm warnings due to freezing rain and black ice out.
