With the purchase of the former Bundesbank building, just a stone's throw from the historic Holstentor, the university is now being expanded to include an impressive 4,000 square meter building. The state secured this central location for an impressive 4.7 million euros, supported by the Possehl Foundation. A real stroke of luck for the university, which urgently needed additional classrooms!
On Monday, the university will present the planned renovation measures, and Science Minister Karin Prien (CDU) will play a central role. There is great anticipation about the new possibilities because the music college has been looking for a solution to the lack of space for a long time. This new building not only promises more space for creative learning, but also an upgrade of the entire university location in Lübeck.
