On Friday evening it happened in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Görlitz train station! A 36-year-old Pole was checked by the police and to their shock they discovered a telescopic baton in his shoulder bag. An accessory that is absolutely forbidden in Germany!
But that wasn't all! The following Saturday, another 24-year-old German caught his eye - this time at the same train station. Hidden in his jacket pocket: a brass knuckles, another impressive but illegal item. There were also explosive discoveries on the motorway: a 36-year-old Ukrainian was stopped behind the wheel of a Mercedes Sprinter. For all to see, there was an unlabeled irritant spray device in the driver's door that was easily identified as pepper spray. A dangerous trio of gun law violations!
Legal consequences threaten!
This now means serious legal problems for the three men. While a fine has already been initiated against the Pole, the other two men now have to prepare for criminal proceedings. All illegal items were immediately confiscated to ensure safety in the city. Görlitz has had enough of such dangerous activities – the law is striking back!
