Zwickau triumphs: Sensational seventh victory at the ZEV Indoor Masters!
FSV Zwickau won the “ZEV Indoor Masters” in 2025 and thus successfully defended the Gerd Schädlich Cup. In the exciting final against Chemnitzer FC, the Zwickau team prevailed 4:3. The encounter drew around 3,500 spectators to the Zwickau town hall, where the atmosphere was correspondingly rousing Blick reported.
In the preliminary round, Zwickau prevailed in Group A after defeating FC Carl-Zeiss 6-3 and Dresdner SC 1898 3-2. Zwickau thus moved into the semi-finals as group winners. There the team turned around a deficit against VFC Plauen and won 5:4. Andrey Startsev scored the decisive goal in the final 42 seconds before the end of the game. Chemnitz had previously made up a 1:3 deficit, but ultimately failed to win.

The next meeting between the teams is scheduled for February 2nd in the “GGZ Arena”. Zwickau will also test against ZFC Meuselwitz on January 14th, while Chemnitzer FC will play against the second team from Magdeburg on January 18th.
