GREEN YOUTH Saxony-Anhalt: Luca Salis fights for the youth voice!
In a gripping meeting last Saturday in Magdeburg, the GRÜNE YOUTH Saxony-Anhalt set the course for the 2025 federal election! The focus was on Luca Salis from Halle, who was nominated with an overwhelming vote as a candidate for the state list of ALLIANCE 90/THE GREENS. The meeting also decided to form a campaign team to represent the voices of the young generation loudly and clearly.
Laura Dittrich, the spokeswoman for the GREEN YOUTH Saxony-Anhalt, announced with full conviction: "We are ready for the coming federal election! Our issues are the sharp rise in the cost of living, the urgently needed climate protection and the tireless commitment to a strong democracy." Luca Salis himself, a member of the state executive board, emphasized: “I am grateful for the trust and want to give the young people in Saxony-Anhalt a voice!” His goal? Social justice and protecting our environment – a powerful promise for the future!
A strong message against anti-Semitism
The meeting began with a moving minute of silence in memory of the victims of the November pogroms of 1938. A unanimously passed motion calls for a decisive fight against anti-Semitism and addresses recent incidents, such as the theft of stumbling blocks in Saxony-Anhalt. To keep the memory alive, the participants cleaned stumbling blocks in Magdeburg city center - a strong symbol of humanity and against forgetting.
But that wasn't everything! The GREEN YOUTH has also taken clear positions on burning issues such as the planned lithium mining in the Altmark and migration policy. Markus Pesch, spokesman for the GRÜNE YOUTH Saxony-Anhalt, stated: "We will not be discouraged by the political situation! We stand firmly with the citizens of the Altmark against lithium mining and demand a strong public broadcaster. A shift to the right in migration policy is not acceptable to us!"
