Storm warning in Saxony-Anhalt: hurricane gusts threaten before Christmas!

In Saxony-Anhalt and Hesse there is a risk of extreme weather conditions with hurricane gusts and wintry temperatures in the coming days. The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued an official severe weather warning of hurricane gusts for the Harz district in the Upper Harz. This warning is in effect from 6 a.m. Thursday, December 19, until 3 p.m. The DWD also warns of squalls in Saxony-Anhalt, especially in the Harz and Mansfeld-Südharz districts, where the warning is valid from midnight on Thursday until 6 p.m. Wind speeds of up to 140 km/h can be reached on the Brocken, a dangerous situation that could affect the maintenance of safety MZ.de reports.
