Saarland in sight: speed controls from November 4th to 10th!
Saarbrücken is facing a fast-paced week: From November 4th to 10th, 2024, the Saarland police will make the streets unsafe with intensive speed controls! Drivers must expect strict measurements at various locations, ensuring a drastic safety measure.
The first flashing lights will go off on Monday, November 4th, on the BAB 620 between the Saarbrücken and Saarlouis motorway entrances, as well as on the B 51 on the border with France and on the B 41 between Neunkirchen and St. Wendel. On Tuesday the control fever continues in Riegelsberg, on the B 423 between Homburg and Blieskastel and on the B 268 between Neunkirchen and Lebach. Wednesday brings the next round in Heusweiler and on the highways in the Luxenburg border area!
Key checkpoints
The measures are no coincidence: all of the places checked are known from numerous accident statistics that indicate clusters of accidents! Regardless of whether it's the B 423 between Habkirchen and Blieskastel on Thursday, the L 287 between Neunkirchen and Hangard on Friday or the BAB 6 on Saturday - the police leave no stone unturned to stop dangerous drivers. Finally, Sunday is not spared either: In Merzig, the focus is on the B 420 between Ottweiler and Fürth!
A note for all road users: In addition to the published measuring points, spontaneous checks are also possible and, above all, some announced checks may even be canceled for operational reasons. The police will leave nothing to chance! For more information visit the police page at www.polizei.saarland.de.
