A shining star in the golf sky: 15-year-old Lena Geier from Ringelai has done it again! The German Golf Association (DGV) has appointed her to the Junior Team Germany 2025, as the reigning German runner-up! This award is not only a reason for joy for Lena, but also for the entire golf community in the Freyung-Grafenau district. She will represent Germany at international tournaments next year – a true triumph for the young talent!

A place among the best

A total of 38 young golfers between the ages of 15 and 23 were nominated for the team. Marcus Neumann, Director of Sports at the DGV, emphasizes the importance of these talents: “The future of German golf lies in their hands.” Lena Geier is not just any member - she is an exceptional talent who is already showing skills that set her apart from others. National coach Sebastian Rühl had already targeted her last year and praised her mental strength and impressive talent. “She has the potential to achieve great things,” enthused Rühl.

Junior Team Germany is a platform for the best amateurs who are preparing for international success. A highlight in the calendar is the European Women's Championship, which will take place from July 23rd to 26th, 2025 at the Frankfurt Golf Club. Lena Geier will certainly be keeping an eye on this event as she prepares for her professional career. The golf world is looking forward to this young talent from Ringelai!
