In Rhineland-Palatinate, the mild November weather will continue for the time being, but the weather forecasts point to a dramatic onset of winter towards the end of the month! While temperatures are currently reaching up to 13 degrees, the cold could soon arrive and frost could hit the region. Dominik Jung from wetter.net warns: “The third attempt: Maybe it will work next week, towards November 22nd.” A sharp drop in temperature is in sight!

A strong high is currently ensuring calm autumn weather, but the forecasts are anything but clear. While the east of Rhineland-Palatinate remains largely dry, the west could receive up to 20 liters of rain per square meter. On Monday, November 11th, the crazy time begins with St. Martin's parades, which are threatened by rain, but mostly stay dry until the evening. The temperatures drop to a frosty 1 to 7 degrees at night!

Changeable weather and risk of frost

The coming days will bring changeable weather. It will remain calm on Tuesday, November 12th, but dense fog could cause visibility problems, especially at higher altitudes. Rain will move in from Wednesday, accompanied by cool temperatures between 4 and 9 degrees. Thursday November 14th will remain mostly dry, but high fog could cloud visibility. Forecasts suggest temperatures will continue to fall starting next week and winter may return with snow. An abrupt change from autumn to early winter is coming!
