In the Association of Oberes Glantal, the sewer network of 292 kilometers will continue to be cleaned by the Müller company from Landau. The contract was extended by one year until March 2026, as the Rheinpfalz reported. These cleaning work includes the care of around 70 kilometers of channel route and the inspection of about 45 kilometers of the main sewage system in Schönenberg-Kübelberg. The mayor Christoph Lothschütz said that additional measures could be necessary. The estimated costs for cleaning amount to 55,000 euros, while 129,000 euros are estimated for the network examination.
new fee structure in the sewage area
At the same time, the municipality of Oberes Glantal has decided on a new fee for water supply and wastewater disposal from the 2020 financial year. The recurring contributions are based on the property area and vary depending on the full shot and water consumption. This was approved by the local authority, as the official communications on the website of the community confirm. The new fees include, among other things, that the basic fee for water increases to 51.36 euros and which for wastewater increases to 69.00 euros, which represents a significant adjustment.
The fees for dirty water and rainwater are also increasing. For example, the fee for dirty water is reduced from 2.90 euros to EUR 2.22 per cubic meter. These measures are intended to ensure a fair billing of the costs in the Region and at the same time maintain the quality of the services, as can be seen from the opinion of the municipalities.
