The anticipation of the contemplative time is already noticeable! The first Christmas markets have opened their doors in Rhineland-Palatinate, even before the first Advent! Mulled wine and a festive atmosphere await visitors, who can look forward to an unforgettable experience.
The “Nostalgic Christmas market in the romantic Kasbachtal” started on November 8th in the municipality of Linz. Here guests can enjoy the pre-Christmas season in the courtyard of the “Old Brewery”. On weekends it is possible to travel with the Kasbachtalbahn, which makes the experience even more special. Another highlight is the Christmas market at Arenfels Castle in Bad Hönningen, which opens its doors this weekend. With an ice skating rink in the inner courtyard and numerous stands in the castle area, a unique ambience is created that makes visitors' hearts beat faster.
Special Christmas markets from November 22nd
From November 22nd it will be really festive in Koblenz, Neuwied and Andernach! These larger Christmas markets are not only open on weekends, but also during the week. In Koblenz, visitors can expect the Christmas Garden at the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, where 30 impressive light installations and specially composed sound worlds enchant visitors. Tickets are available for around 20 euros per adult. In Vettelschoß there is a Christmas market with a British flair, which delights visitors with English specialties and a unique atmosphere.
On the first weekend of Advent, from November 30th to December 1st, the nutcracker market in Neuwied-Engers opens its doors. Here visitors can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere and look forward to a wide range of stands. Entry is free! It will also be Christmassy in Bad Marienberg from November 28th to December 1st, with craft demonstrations and fire shows that will amaze visitors.
