SPD Kaiserslautern has a strong start to the winter election campaign!

December 8, 2024 was an important day for the SPD in Kaiserslautern. At the city association conference in the Einsiedlerhof community center, Marcel Schulz was re-elected chairman with overwhelming results. This happened in front of a committed gathering of about 30 comrades who enthusiastically stood up to celebrate their new leader. Schulz will now lead the SPD for two more years, and his success is undeniable and leaves no questions unanswered Rhine Palatinate reported.

A breath of fresh air in the party

The new elections brought out a mix of proven forces and new faces. The new board was founded with the clear goal of further strengthening the party in Kaiserslautern and preparing for the upcoming winter election campaign. “We go door to door, listen and talk to people,” explained Marcel Schulz, underlining the SPD’s citizen-oriented orientation. This strategy will be particularly important as the party aims for an active and engaged election campaign, as the SPD city association Kaiserslautern executed.

A moving moment of the conference was the farewell to Lukas Lill, who is leaving the city. He was recognized for his great commitment with warm applause. Bundestag member Matthias Mieves used the opportunity to criticize the blockade in federal politics and call on members to take part in an active election campaign. “We are fighting for our constituency and a strong SPD in Berlin,” Mieves emphatically demanded.

The starting signal for the election campaign was given on the same day with a kick-off event at the Christmas market in Kaiserslautern, where the SPD wants to convey its message to the population under the motto “#LauternBleibtRot”. The new board, supported by Frank Pfaff as representative for press and new media, has high hopes for citizen-oriented communication and committed campaigns to reach people in the region.
