Nuremberg shines: Vegan adventure trail at the Christmas market!
Nuremberg is once again transformed into a winter fairytale land! Mayor Marcus König (CSU) announced at the press conference: “The magical time begins.” The city relies on tried and tested traditions and quality at the legendary Christmas market, while economic advisor Andrea Heilmeier (CSU) emphasizes that careful innovations are being introduced.
Vegan delicacies and more
This year, visitors can look forward to an exciting adventure trail dedicated entirely to the topic of vegan products - a sign that demand is increasing! But the classics remain the focus: gingerbread, bratwurst and the much sought-after mulled wine are not to be missed. Prices for a cup of mulled wine are 4.50 euros plus deposit, while children's punch is available for 3.50 euros. An increase in GEMA fees for the musical performances will be absorbed by a sponsor, as Heilmeier explains.
The Christkindlesmarkt, which opens on November 29th, the Friday before the first Advent, attracts more than two million guests from all over the world every year. Last year the market generated an impressive 180 million euros in revenue for retail, gastronomy, hotels and services. The Nuremberg Christ child, Nelli Lunkenheimer, will speak his famous prologue from the gallery of the Frauenkirche, while Bavarian television will broadcast the opening live at 5:30 p.m. The market, one of the oldest in Germany, is open until December 24th at 2 p.m. and promises unforgettable experiences in the festive atmosphere of Nuremberg!
