New guide for career orientation: How to support your child!
A new parent's guide to career guidance is now available! The state initiative KAoA (No qualification without connection) has published an understandable and comprehensive introduction for parents who want to help their children choose a career. The PDF files are available free of charge in the download area on the website www.rhein-kreis-neuss.de/kaoa. This guide is an indispensable tool that explains all the important steps from the potential analysis in the eighth grade to internships and application phases.
The latest edition takes into account current developments in upper secondary education and offers valuable information on special programs such as KAoA-STAR, which is aimed at young people with special needs, and KAoA-kompakt, which helps newly immigrated young people. District director Dirk Brügge emphasizes the importance of this revision: “By publishing it in simple language, we want to ensure that all parents and legal guardians – regardless of their linguistic background – receive the important information about the state initiative KAoA in an understandable way.”
Important support for parents
This guide is a real game-changer for many families! North Rhine-Westphalia pursues the goal of organizing the transition from school to work and providing all young people with the best possible support. The local coordination teams bundle the activities for career orientation and ensure that the support offers are implemented effectively on site. This process will be further strengthened with financial support from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the European Union. No degree without a connection – that is the motto that is intended to secure the future of young people!
