Carnival in Wipperfürth: Prince Tim I and Princess Alina conquer the stage!

Wipperfürth experienced a fantastic start to the 2024/2025 carnival session! The mood was brought to a climax with the proclamation of Prince Tim I and Princess Alina by Mayor Anne Loth in the Alte Drahtzieherei. The Neye fools' guild had invited people to the party, and the jecken flocked in droves to experience an unforgettable night of partying. The dancing mice and dancing bears of the Blau-Weiß Neye dance corps caused enthusiasm with their rousing performances and made the audience go wild - an encore was a must!

Prince Uli I and his triumvirate said an emotional farewell to their session and thanked everyone who accompanied them. A very special moment was the recognition of the first club member with trisomy 21, who the Neye fool's guild was able to welcome into its ranks. The evening was crowned with a spectacular Elevenrat dance, where the men in ponchos and sombreros performed South African rhythms. The crowd was thrilled as they danced to hits like “Mambo No. 5” and “Buenos dias Senorita”!

An unforgettable invasion

The arrival of the new royal couple was a spectacle for the senses! Prince Tim I and Princess Alina were accompanied by “Shalalalalas” and visibly enjoyed the attention of the crowd. The moment when Prince Tim I hugged his grandmother, who stood on the same stage as a princess 41 years ago, was particularly touching. After the official presentation, Mayor Anne Loth handed over the insignia and emphasized that everyone deserved to “just be awesome.” Prince Tim I. announced the session motto: “The best compass that guides you, that’s the thing for Wipperfürth!”

Although the new session song wasn't finished in time, the band couldn't be stopped and danced to "Oben - unter" by the robbers, which made the old masterminds shake. The celebrations attracted numerous delegations from friendly carnival clubs who took part with great enthusiasm. The party was further heated up by “Die Sternrocker” from Lindlar and the Tanzgarde from the Blau-Weiß Neye dance corps, before DJ Axel brought the night to a close with rousing beats. An unforgettable evening for all geeks!
