Open day at the KHG: discover, participate and advent magic!
Laubacher Straße 13, 40822 Mettmann, Deutschland - An exciting day is imminent! On Saturday, November 30th, the Konrad-Heresbach-Gymnasium in Mettmann opens its doors from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for everyone. Students, parents and interested parties are invited to experience the school up close. From 10 a.m., exciting guided tours start in which the various subjects shine through captivating experiments and hands-on activities. There is an information lecture at 11 a.m.
A look into the future
It becomes particularly exciting for the fourth graders! You have the opportunity to take part in trial lessons in different subjects. In the meantime, the parents can find out about the building blocks of the testing level conference and learn everything important about the coming school years. But that's not all! The traditional Advent bazaar, organized by the Elsa (parent-teacher student committee) of the KHG, begins from 1 p.m. Here visitors can enjoy handmade handicrafts, delicious dishes and drinks and even acquire the Advent wreaths bound by hand.
Part of the proceeds flows into an important project: "Computer for the Nyakibal girls' vocational school in Rukungiri/Uganda" from Opam. This project is committed to promoting literacy and supports young girls and women, including many orphans, in the acquisition of IT knowledge. In this way, the path is paved for a successful conclusion and a self -determined life. The crowning glory of the day is the Advent singing of the fifth grade from 3 p.m. in the auditorium, accompanied by the big band - a festival for the ears!
