drama on the highway! On Tuesday morning, October 22, 2024, around 8:30 a.m., a serious traffic accident occurred on Autobahn 1 near Bakum. A 61-year-old driver from the Ennepe-Ruhr district had to lose control of his vehicle due to a medical emergency. He initially slipped into the construction site area and collided with a slide protection wall - a shocking impact!

But that was not enough: the Ford, which was significantly damaged in the impact, continued his journey! The driver wanted to overtake a 49-year-old tractor from the Münsterland, which ended in another collision. Tragic! The car finally stayed on the right lane, completely suitable for driving and with an immense property damage of around 20,000 euros. Emergency doctors were quickly on hand and ensured the injured driver, who was immediately taken to the hospital with suspicion of stroke.

The accident ensured a top -class traffic chaos - an approximately five kilometer traffic jam formed, which extended to the Vechta junction. Only after the vehicle was rescued and the lifting of the half -side closure could the traffic slowly calm down again.
