New multi -generation center in Stadensen: A place for young and old!

In Stadenens, the new multi -generation center on the Sportweg has opened its doors and ensures happy faces! The eleven -year -old Anna and her brother Jan Jonas are just two of many who tinker, play and laugh here. This lively center, operated by the "Megz Stadenens" association under the direction of Katharina Stallbohm, offers a place where young and old can come together. The opening was received by the community with open arms, and the premises that were previously empty are now a pulsating meeting point for the village community.

a place of encounter

The history of the center begins with an empty building that was once a youth center. Katharina Stallbohm, who grew up here, wanted to revive the room and founded a WhatsApp group to find like-minded people. The velvet community Aue supports the project by paying the costs for electricity, heating and water for a year. The center is equipped with a cozy furnishings, including a sofa, a darts and many board games. Not only is playing here, but also cooking, because a fully equipped kitchen is available.

The goal of the center is to promote the exchange between the generations. "The younger people learn from the elderly and vice versa," explains Stallbohm. A weekly game afternoon is already offered, and the opening times are designed in such a way that both children and parents are very welcome. Numerous other activities are planned, including handicraft afternoons and excursions. "We strengthen the cohesion in the village and bring people closer together," says Kristina Meinecke, the secretary of the association. At a time at the distance, this center is a ray of hope for the community of Stadenens.
