Burger snack bar in Gifhorn: reopening after a lack of staff!

Gifhorn.A shock for fast food fans! The burger snack bar at Schütte has been closed for a few days. Udo von Ey, the boss of the Schütte department store, opened this culinary hotspot five years ago to enrich the shopping experience in the city center. But now it's over, and the reason? Shortage of staff! Schütte employee Lidia Sladczyk, who managed the bistro from the start, confirms: “Due to a lack of staff, it was no longer possible to continue operating.” What a setback for burger lovers!

But giving up is not an option! Von Ey's team acted quickly and brought the Weber family on board. “We simply asked the Weber family whether they could imagine continuing to run the snack bar. And they dare to do it,” says Lidia happily. The Webers, known for their showman work, already have experience and will continue to run the bistro under the name “Schhütte Snack”. “We have quite a lot on offer,” says Nadine Weber, the new boss, with a laugh. The family will continue the culinary tradition with an offer of burgers, fries and finger food.

Reopening with momentum!

The good news: It starts on Wednesday, November 6th! The opening times are Tuesday to Thursday from 11.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. - the snack bar is closed on Sunday and Monday. Nadine Weber is looking forward to keeping the popular Schütte Burger on offer and even offering Smashburgers. “All four of my children were born in Gifhorn,” she proudly reveals, emphasizing her connection to the region. The upcoming Christmas market on the Schütte forecourt will also be enlivened by the Weber family. So it remains exciting!
