Rehden celebrates the big autumn market opening with music and auction!

The Rehden autumn market recently opened its doors and promises to be a highlight for the entire region. At the ceremonial opening there was not only a variety of entertainment, but also special honors for the people behind this event. Mayor Heino Mackenstedt, who officially opened the event, praised the commitment of the numerous helpers who make the market possible.

With the cheerful sounds of Stegis Happy Polka, a brass band that comes from Kleinenborstel, the opening immediately created a good atmosphere. “You are guaranteed to get going here,” explained Mackenstedt, referring not only to the music, but also to the extensive offering in the festival and commercial tent as well as on the outdoor area. The atmosphere was already very festive, which attracted many visitors.

Thanks to the organizers

Mackenstedt took the opportunity to express his thanks to those who make a significant contribution to the success of the market. Market master Bernd Hardemann and Philipp Bussmann from the administration were particularly highlighted. “You’ve done a great job again,” said the mayor. The market committee chaired by Phillip Kenneweg, as well as the volunteers and the municipality's building yard, also deserve great praise. The mayor of the joint municipality, Magnus Kiene, also welcomed representatives of the administration and local institutions, which underlined the importance of the market.

The guests of honor at the opening included the CDU Bundestag member Axel Knoerig and the newly sworn-in district administrator Volker Meyer. Before the traditional tapping of the barrel, which Mackenstedt left to the experts, they set a celebratory tone with short greetings. Meyer emphasized the importance of the trade show, which boasts around 90 exhibitors and thus demonstrates the economic strength of the region. “The market offers an optimal platform for acquiring new customers,” said Meyer.

The musical setting was completed by the DCC Funkenballett, which offered a rousing performance and made the opening an unforgettable experience. The exuberant atmosphere also encourages you to visit the weekend's other attractions.

Versatile program

Saturday is reserved for the popular bingo afternoon, where the bingo bear Michael Thürnau appears as a well-known face. A celebratory service follows on Sunday, followed by a village auction led by Andreas Hüsker. The auctioneer, known for his charming humor, promises exciting highlights, including an e-bike that is a lot of fun and indicates an exciting excursion. “If you want more information, you shouldn’t miss the auction,” advises Hüsker, thereby creating additional anticipation.

The Rehden autumn market is more than just a market event. It is a cultural event that strengthens community and supports local entrepreneurs. Regional media also report on all of this, so that no detail goes unnoticed. It's definitely worth a visit to experience the attractions on offer for yourself.
