Eymen Ezidin: From refugee to gastronomy star in Delmenhorst!

26-year-old Eymen Edizin has made his dream come true and is now successfully running his own restaurant, Eymen’s, on Oldenburger Straße in Delmenhorst. What seemed like a distant dream two years ago is now a reality. Eymen, who came to Germany as a refugee from northern Iraq, gave up his main job to devote himself fully to his gastronomic business. His career is impressive: from escape via the Balkan route to self-employment, he fought tirelessly.

An escape route full of challenges

In 2015, Eymen Edizin fled the terror of the Islamic State as an 18-year-old. After arriving in Germany, he initially lived in shared accommodation in the Delmetal barracks, where he learned German and integrated into society. He found his way into the catering industry through an internship, where he worked his way up to deputy store manager. But Eymen wanted more - he dreamed of his own restaurant.

Today, Eymen’s is not only a restaurant, but is also one of the best delivery services in the region. With an impressive rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars on Google and a high ranking on Lieferando, he has made a name for himself. The menu offers an international selection of dishes, including burgers, pizza and pasta, which Eymen developed himself based on his experiences in various restaurants.

A day in the life of a restaurateur

Eymen's working day begins at midday and extends into the night. He is active in all areas - from the kitchen to service. “It works better when I’m in the store,” he says. The pressure is high, especially on peak days when orders come in in spurts. However, Eymen has adapted to it very well and loves the challenge, gastronomy with all its ups and downs. Holidays and weekends are particularly busy, and Eymen is willing to go above and beyond to give his customers the best experience.
