Neustadt: KJR leadership confirmed – off to new international adventures!
Neustadt. A new wind is blowing at the Neustadt district youth ring! Christina Ponader and Patrick Uhl were re-elected as leaders with great approval. At the autumn general meeting in the Störnstein cultural barn, delegates, politicians and friends of youth work gathered to celebrate the successes of the past year and shape the future.
The KJR can look back on an exciting year that featured a colorful program. In addition to popular leisure activities such as horse riding, climbing and canoeing, exciting events in the areas of MINT, media and ecology were also offered. There is great anticipation for the coming year, as international youth meetings are on the agenda! In addition to the Italian youth exchange, language trips to England are also possible again during the Pentecost and summer holidays.
Colorful program and new initiatives
The campaigns on Penance and Prayer Day as well as the holiday campaigns during the summer holidays have established themselves as real highlights that support working parents. The KJR also celebrated 20 years of Fifty-Fifty Taxi, a popular service for young people that offers a practical alternative to the parent taxi. The close cooperation with the district is also reflected in projects such as the children's leisure brochure “Freu.Zeit”.
Another important step is the new appointment of Lena Kummer, who will lead the radicalization prevention network “Nördliche Oberpfalz NO.way”. The kick-off event will take place on November 28th in the Neustadt/WN town hall. District Administrator Andreas Meier emphasized the importance of networking in youth work and the tireless efforts of volunteers.
The event ended with a heartfelt thank you to long-time members Thomas Strebl and Martin Puff, who are leaving for personal reasons. Christina Ponader thanked you for the trust and support and promises that the KJR-Neustadt will start an exciting future with a strong team!
