"We provide funds of 150,000 euros from the state budget, which are only exhausted for around two thirds for this year," said Minister Stefanie Drese (SPD). The funding is up to 30 euros per person per day and is intended for stays of up to seven nights. This could enable a family with two adults and two children, for example, a funding of 840 euros, which would significantly relax family vacation. Family recovery often takes place in beautiful places such as Rügen, Usedom or along the Baltic Sea. Various family ferry sites as well as freelance organizations from the social sector, including the Workers' Welfare (AWO), the German Red Cross (DRK), Caritas and Diakonie enable such stays.
