Crisis in automotive suppliers: Hirschvogel is cutting hundreds of jobs!

The automotive industry in Germany is on the brink! Auto supplier Hirschvogel, a giant in the industry, is planning massive job cuts that will shock the region. A total of 320 jobs are to be cut in the plants in Schongau and Denklingen - 120 in Schongau and 200 in Denklingen! This shocking news was shared with employees at recent company meetings and IG Metall is alarmed.

The IG Metall union, represented by Weilheim representative Karl Musiol, has already warned of the threat of compulsory redundancies. Musiol emphasizes that Hirschvogel is trying to avoid layoffs until next summer, but the reality is bleak: many employees are expected to have to leave voluntarily, which is a major challenge given the tense situation. Hirschvogel itself is holding back from making any official comments until the employees at the plant in Marksuhl/Thuringia have been informed.

The crisis hits suppliers!

Automotive suppliers in the region are in a critical situation. While Hirschvogel is suffering from the consequences of the faltering transformation to e-mobility, other companies such as Hoerbiger and Winning BLW have different challenges to overcome. Hoerbiger, an international company, reports good capacity utilization and no economic problems, while Winning BLW has already had to accept drastic job cuts from 340 to 250 employees. However, Musiol is optimistic that the situation at Winning BLW could stabilize again next year.

The situation is tense and the automotive industry is facing a crucial turning point. The question remains: How many jobs will be left behind and when will e-mobility finally make a breakthrough? Time is of the essence and the future of the industry hangs in the balance!
