Klose and Nuremberg: Suddenly on the rise – pure self-confidence!
1. FC Nürnberg is experiencing an impressive upswing under coach Miroslav Klose! After a difficult phase at the start of the season, when there were rumors about a possible replacement for Klose, the team has fought its way back. The turning point came with a 3-2 win against Preußen Münster on October 5th, which boosted the players' confidence and started a series of successes.
The Nuremberg team have worked their way up the table and are now in sixth place! A brilliant derby win against Greuther Fürth (4:0) was followed by an impressive 8:3 defeat against Jahn Regensburg. Even after a narrow cup exit against 1899 Hoffenheim (1:2), the Nuremberg team showed strength and got a 1-1 draw against Hamburger SV. Julian Justvan, who shone with five assists, emphasized: “We don’t have to hide from anyone in the league after this game!”
A new self-confidence
By switching from a four-man to a three-man chain, Nuremberg has revitalized their offense and is now showing that they can keep up with the top teams in the league. After just seven match days, the team was in 14th place with 7 points, but thanks to the draw against HSV, the Klose team now has 17 points and secured sixth place. Justvan is convinced that they can stand up to all upcoming opponents, having already picked up their eleventh point from behind.
But the challenge remains great! There are still a few tricky games for Nuremberg before the winter break, including matches against 1. FC Kaiserslautern and SC Paderborn. Klose and his team now have to prove that they can hold their own against stronger opponents. "That was the next step. We didn't let it get us down and stayed true to our line," says Justvan, showing that the team is looking forward to the upcoming tasks with fresh self-confidence!
