In an exciting vote, Semmo prevailed with 348 of a total of 820 votes (42.4%) and left cycling world champion Raphael Kopp (245 votes/29.9%) behind. “It felt really good during and after the game when everyone congratulated me on my good performance and we all celebrated together,” said the young footballer, who was celebrated by his coaching team, his teammates and the spectators in Maschpark.

Karim Semmo wins a penalty

The 14-year-old played a key role in the game: after a foul in the opponent's penalty area, he took a penalty, which his teammate Johann Juenger safely converted.
